Guysborough Waste Management Facility
 
Project: Re-shingle Asphalt Roofs - Compost Buildings
 
The Guysborough Waste Management Facility is seeking proposals for the re-shingling of two sections, approximatley (1 - 18 ft x 102 ft and 1 - 21 ft x 102 ft) of the compost buildings roofs. Proposal must include all labour, materials and equipment necessary to remove all old shingles, install plywood roof sheathing and re-shingle the roofs in accordance with the National Building Code and specifications provided for this project.
Safety of workers is a primary concern for this project, therefore proposers/contractors must include with their proposal: a Certificate of Recognition and/or Letter of Good Standing from Nova Scotia Safety Association (or Safety Services Nova Scotia), Clearance Letter from Workers Compensation Board, Proof of Liability Insurance, Proof of Fall Arrest Training and Safety Policy. Proposal must also include a 10% deposit in the form of a certified cheque, money order or bid bond. A proposal package including minimum specifications of materials to be used and required submission forms are available by contacting the Waste Facility at the number shown below. Proposer/contractor must visit the site and view the project location prior to submitting a proposal.
The Municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals as detailed in the Proposal Package. Proposals will be evaluated based on: quality of proposal, experience of contractor on similar projects, safety related information, references and project price.
Sealed proposals with prices shown on the required submission form shall be submitted to the undersigned at the Guysborough Waste Management Facility, 151 Waste Management Road on or before Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
