The Milford Haven Corporation - Home for Special Care

The Milford Haven Home for Special Care is a Long Term Care Facility located on Route 16 in the village of Guysborough. Milford Haven provides fifty residents with twenty-four hour care, seven days a week and includes one respite bed to offer relief to care givers in the community who are caring for loved ones in their own homes. The Home is owned and operated by the Municipality of the District of Guysborough under the guidelines and standards set by the Department of Health. Milford Haven is attached to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital and is able to take advantage of many of the services that it has to offer. Milford Haven offers a wide variety of social, recreational and spiritual activities and welcomes visits by individuals and community groups to provide additional support for these events.
