District #1 – Guysborough – Glenkeen

BEGINNING, at the point where the Milford Haven River and Guysborough Harbour meet;

THENCE, along the Mill Dam Brook to the point of entrance to Chedabucto Bay;

THENCE, in a southwesterly direction to Highway 16 where Mill Dam Brook crosses said Highway, 4499813E, 5026854N;

THENCE, in a southeasterly direction to 4498987E, 5026347N;

THENCE, in a westerly direction to a point where this line intersects the South River Lake Road and the Larry’s River Road;

THENCE, in a southerly direction to 4499410E, 5025501N;

THENCE, in a southwesterly direction to 4499473E, 5025337;

THENCE, in a southwesterly direction to the edge of the Salmon River at point 4498746E, 5023555;

THENCE, southeasterly to point 4497513E, 5023374N, near the end of Jenkins Branch Road;

THENCE, westerly to the head of Donahue or Ingersoll Lake at the control gate of the Nova Scotia Power Commission, Dickie Brook System;

THENCE, in a westerly direction to the head of Eight Mile Lake;

THENCE, continuing in a northwesterly direction to meet the line at St. Mary’s Municipality at or near Stewart Lake;

THENCE, in a northerly direction along the St. Mary’s District line to the point where a said line intersects with the Antigonish County Line;

THENCE, along said Antigonish County line in a northeasterly direction to a point at or near Alder River;

THENCE, in a Northerly direction to the said Antigonish County line to a point where the
said Antigonish County line turns in a Northeasterly direction;

THENCE, following the said Antigonish County line to a point referred to as point “D” on a Plan dated June 1, 1985, revised June 23, 1886 and signed by John J. Delorey, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor;

THENCE following the Antigonish County line South 31 degrees 39’55” East 2023 meters more or less to a point referred to as point “C” on said plan;

THENCE in a Southerly direction to a point where the line meets the Milford Haven River;

THENCE along the said shore line of the Milford Haven River to the point of beginning, that being the point where the Milford Haven River and Guysborough Harbour meet. (Save and except that portion of District #2 which is contained within the boundaries of District #1 and commonly known as Sunnyville;)

District #2 – Lincolnville – Sunnyville - Upper Big Tracadie

BEGINNING at the Antigonish County line at a point referred to as Point “C” on a Plan dated June 1, 1985; revised June 23, 1986 and signed by John J. Delorey, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor;

THENCE, following the Antigonish County line North 53 degrees 16’45” East 6,055.37 meters to a point referred to as Point “B” on said Plan;

THENCE, in a Southerly direction to a point at or near Ned’s Lake at the head of Clam Harbour River;

THENCE, Westerly to a point where this line intersects with the boundary line of District #1, said line leading from the Antigonish County line to the Milford Haven River;

THENCE, Northerly to the place of beginning, that being point “C” on a Plan dated June 1, 1985, revised June 23, 1886 and signed by John J. Delorey, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor.

ALSO,

BEGINNING at a point in Guysborough where Route #408, Sunnyville Road, and Route #16, the road leading to Canso, intersect;

THENCE, following in Southwesterly direction to a point where the line meets Route #403, Thompkinsville Road;

THENCE, Northerly to the Western Shore of Hart Lake;

THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction to a point where the line meets Cutlers Lake Brook;

THENCE, following Cutler’s Lake Brook to a point where the said Brook crosses Route #407, Old Riverside Road;

THENCE, in a Southerly direction to the point of beginning; that being the intersection of Route #408, Sunnyville Road, and Route #16, the road leading to Canso.

District #3 – Boylston – Melford

BEGINNING at a point where the Milford Haven River and Guysborough Harbour meet;

THENCE, Easterly and then Northerly following the shore lines of the Guysborough Harbour, Chedabucto Bay and the Strait of Canso to a point where the Southern boundary of the Town of Mulgrave meets the water of the Strait of Canso at Pirate Harbour;

THENCE, following the said boundary line of the Town of Mulgrave Westerly, Northerly and Easterly to the shore of the Strait of Canso aforesaid at or near Brophy’s Point, so called;

THENCE, following the said shore to the Strait of Canso to the place where the Antigonish line meets the waters of the Strait of Canso at Aulds Cove;

THENCE, following the said Antigonish County line in a Westerly direction to a point referred to as Point “A” on a Plan dated June 1, 1985, revised June 23, 1886 and signed by John J. Delorey, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor. Said point “A” being North 73 degrees 14’55” East 514.813 meters from the Nova Scotia Coordinate monument #11094;

THENCE, following the Antigonish County line South 31 degrees 39’55” East 1,210
meters to a point referred to as Point “B” on said plan;

THENCE, in a Southerly direction to a point at or near Ned’s Lake at the head of Clam Harbour River;

THENCE, Westerly to a point where this line intersects with the boundary line of District #1, said line leading from the Antigonish County line to the Milford Haven River;

THENCE, in a Southerly direction to a point where the line meets the Milford Haven River;

THENCE, along the said shore line of the Milford Haven River to the point of beginning that being where the Milford Haven River and Guysborough Harbour meet.

District #4 – Chedabucto

BEGINNING, at Highway 16 where Mill Dam Brook crosses said Highway, 4499813E, 5026854N;

THENCE, in a southwesterly direction to 4498987E, 5026347N;

THENCE, in a southwesterly direction to a point where this line intrsects the South River Lake Road and the Larry’s River Road;

THENCE, in a westerly direction to 4499410E, 5025501N;

THENCE, in a southeasterly direction to 4499473E, 5025337;

THENCE, in a southwesterly direction to the edge of the Salmon River at point 4498746E, 5023555;

THENCE, westerly to point 4497513E, 5023374N, near the end of Jenkins Branch Road;

THENCE, in a southeasterly direction to the Head of Donahue or Ingersol Lake at the control gate of the Nova Scotia Power Commission, Dickie Brook System;

THENCE, following the said base line or General Rear line of land fronting on Chedabucto Bay, Easterly to the Western Boundary line of a lot of land granted to Thomas Carter by Grant from the Crown, Grant #5476;

THENCE, following the Western boundary line of the said lot of land to the Southwestern angle thereof;

THENCE, in a straight line Southwardly to the Western Shore of Port Felix or Molasses Harbour at the Northwest angle of a lot of land granted to the Reverend James Drummond by grant from the Crown, Grant #1661;

THENCE, following the said shore Easterly and crossing the mouth of the White Haven to a brook commonly known as Kyak Brook;

THENCE, following the Brook to the point of it’s origin;

THENCE, in a straight line Northwardly to the mouth of Indian Cove Brook to Fox Island Main on the shore of Chedabucto Bay;

THENCE, following the Shore of Chedabucto Bay to the place of beginning at Toby point and including the neighboring Islands.

District #5 – Hazel Hill – Little Dover

BEGINNING at the mouth of the Indian Cove Brook at Fox Island Main on the Southern Shore;

THENCE, Southerly in a straight line to the head of Kyak Brook;

THENCE, along Kyak Brook to the Atlantic Ocean;

THENCE, Easterly and following the shore of the Atlantic Ocean at various courses to the boundary line of the Town of Canso at Publicovers Gully;

THENCE, following the boundary line of the Town of Canso at various courses Westwardly and Northwardly to the head of Smelt Cove on the Southern Shore of the Canso Tickle;

THENCE, westwardly following the shore of the Canso Tickle and the shore of Chedabucto Bay to the place of beginning that being at the mouth of Indian Cove Brook at Fox Island Main on the Southern Shore and including the neighboring islands except that part of Durrell’s Island which lies East of a straight line drawn from the point on the Northern side of the Tickle channel immediately opposite Smelt Cove to the point opposite the Western end of Robert's Island, that Eastern part of Durrell’s Island lying and being within the Town of Canso boundaries.

District #6 – Tor Bay – New Harbour

BEGINNING at New Harbour Head;

THENCE, Easterly to the head of Donahue or Ingersoll Lake at the control gate at the Nova Scotia Power Commission, Dickie Brook System;

THENCE, Easterly along baseline of lands fronting on Chedabucto Bay;

THENCE, following the said base line or General Rear line of land fronting on Chedabucto Bay, Easterly to the Western Boundary line of a lot of land granted to Thomas Carter by Grant from the Crown, Grant #5476;

THENCE, following the Western boundary line of the said lot of land to the Southwestern angle thereof;

THENCE, in a straight line Southwardly to the Western Shore of Port Felix or Molasses Harbour at the Northwest angle of a lot of land granted to the Reverend James Drummond by grant from the Crown, Grant #1661;

THENCE, along the Shore of the Atlantic Ocean to the point of beginning at New Harbour Head and including the neighboring Islands.

District #7 – Country Harbour – Drumhead

BEGINNING at New Harbour Head;

THENCE, following a Northwesterly direction to the Head of Eight Mile Lake;

THENCE, continuing in a Westerly direction to meet the line at St. Mary’s Municipality at or near Stewart Lake;

THENCE, Southerly along the St. Mary’s District line to Country Harbour Lake;

THENCE, in a Westerly direction along the said St. Mary’s District line to a point where it intersects with Route #480, Melrose Road;

THENCE, following the St. Mary’s District line to the shore of the Atlantic Ocean at or near Fisherman’s Harbour;

THENCE, thus following the shore line of the Atlantic Ocean to the point of beginning that being New Harbour Head and including the neighboring Islands.
