RCMP

The RCMP Service for the Municipality of the District of Guysborough as well as the County of Guysborough has changed over the last number of years. It is run on a county-wide system rather than each municipal unit having its own force. Also, a Staff Sergeant has been added to control the larger force.

Currently, three detachments are serving the Municipality – Canso, Guysborough, and Sherbrooke – with Guysborough being the central office and the location of the Staff Sergeant.
