Municipality partners with Nova Scotia Power


         
     

Bring two strings of traditional glass holiday lights to the December 3rd (Thursday) Christmas tree lighting for free recycling and receive one string of LED holiday lights in return - a gift from Nova Scotia Power and the Municipality of the District of Guysborough to help you on your way to energy savings. Tree lighting ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m. at the courtyard adjacent to Skipping Stone Crafts & Gallery.

Quantities are limited, based on a first-come, first-served basis.  One LED set per person.

Did you know LED holiday lights...
                            

  • Use 90% less electricity and last at least 10 times longer than traditional glass holiday lights
  • Produce very little heat, reducing the risk of fire
  • Contain no glass and are durable and safe
  • Are widely available at local retailers in a variety of colours, string lengths and bulb sizes
