The communities that make up the District of Guysborough are close-knit, yet they share a common bond, with a shared vision for a prosperous, healthy future in the District. The people in that larger community work together, and as a result, the District offers more amenities, cultural and recreational opportunities and services to residents than most municipalities much larger in population.
Excellent public schools are located in Guysborough (P-12) and Hazel Hill (P-12). The District has access to high-speed internet and many communities have water and/or sewer systems.
Recreational opportunities are widely available to residents in all parts of the District. Community events are at least a weekly feature. Four times a year, the Municipality puts out a newsletter full of information about events.
