Historical Sites and Museums
Our story dates back some 400 years. We’re pleased to share our rich history with you at numerous historical sites and community museums – including Guysborough Courthouse Museum and Whitman House Museum in Canso.
Hikes and Walks
Abandoned railway beds in the District are repurposed locally as part of Canada’s Great Trail. Other trails have been developed to showcase our amazing natural surroundings, such as Black Duck Cove , Chapel Gully and Guysborough’s Shoreline Trail.
Parks and Camping
Visit scenic parks and campgrounds dotted along our coastline – perfect for a picnic, overnight visit or extended stay.
Guysborough’s low-traffic, paved rural roads offer outstanding views, gentle hills and picturesque villages for the cycling enthusiast.
